Harris Luxury Vinyl Cork Provides Warmth and Beauty

Harris luxury vinyl cork flooring provides practical warmth from durable flooring and beauty in natural wood replicas that make vinyl so popular. Luxury vinyl cork offers warmth along with comfort and wellness, providing impact resistance for a forgiving floor.  With a modern compression fitting system, cork’s natural properties compress then expand to it’s original shape to form a tight seal that will last.  Cork’s natural properties act like an acoustic insulator, providing a comfortable and quiet floor.

With a thin profile of 6mm, this versatile flooring can sometimes be installed over existing, unsightly floors without removing trim or doors.  With simple press-fit floating planks in nearly 6” width and 48 ¼” length, Harris vinyl cork flooring can be installed over most subfloors and radiant heat systems.  The floating, interlocking planks can be glued down for permanent installations.

This sturdy flooring products provides the beauty we are used to with luxury vinyl which includes decorative material with a protective coating to enhance the durable vinyl wear layer.  With an agglomerate cork composite core and a vinyl underlay, this vinyl cork flooring offers durable balanced structure underfoot.  This unique flexibility makes cork floors very comfortable to walk or stand on.

Vinyl Cork Flooring is Environmentally Friendly

Harris vinyl cork flooring is environmentally friendly and sustainable without harming the trees at all.  Natural cork is harvested every nine years by skilled craftsman with hand axes removing the cork from the bark of the cork oak tree.  After the cork is harvested by hand from the trees, new bark grows without ever damaging the tree, making this luxury vinyl flooring a renewable resource.

With all these benefits which include noise absorption, warmth retention, and resilient cushioning for added comfort, why not check out Harris luxury vinyl cork flooring for yourself.

People Always Ask, “Is WPC Waterproof”?

One of the most common questions that people ask about wood plastic composite flooring (wpc) is if WPC is waterproof.  WPC is becoming one of the most popular types of flooring products and for good reason.  WPC flooring offers many benefits to homeowners and commercial property owners alike, with most people wanting to know about the durability, long lasting beauty and water resistance characteristics.

While WPC stands for wood-plastic-composite, there is not much actual wood in the material but rather a composite material which is more stable and rigid than wood.  This enhanced material provides many benefits over natural wood such as increased durability as it will not scratch or stain like real hardwood, it is more stable in that it will not contract and expand like hardwood and WPC flooring offers water resistance, and in some cases, waterproof flooring.

Some LVP and LVT Vinyl Flooring is WPC Water Resistant

WPC flooring is typically referred to as luxury vinyl plank (LVP), luxury vinyl tile (LVT) or waterproof vinyl flooring.  WPC offers some advantages over laminate flooring in that WPC is typically waterproof and is ideal in some installations where laminate should not be used.  WPC is a better choice in room that may be exposed to moisture such as bathrooms or basements.

WPC flooring also contains an added layer of cushion to provide a little more cushion over laminate which reduces noise for a quieter floor.  Not all LVT is WPC, with the water resistance characteristic being the biggest difference.   WPC can often be laid directly on top of most subfloors with little preparation as the rigid core of WPC flooring allows for wider and longer formatting options.  WPC can be simple to install with a little preparation and can be laid over divots or minor cracks in the subfloor.
